My Baby Daddy

Holla! He's a rockstar and I'm married to him! For 4 years tomorrow actually. Yes, I'll probably receive lashings with thorn-laden whips for posting this on the blog BUT I happen to think it's rather cool and worth bragging on. Chris's band played in their 3rd Annual Benefit concert for his advertising agency a couple of weeks ago and did a smashing job! They're kind of a big deal! He would never tell you himself but he's a musical PHENOM!! I think you could give him any instrument and he'd have it basically figured out in an hour or so. I love him. Happy Anniversary Chris!

What was I doing 10 years ago?
Ten years ago I was about to graduate from Houston High School and making plans for Auburn. I was anticipating my senior trip to Destin, Florida. I did NOT own a cell phone or know what a CHI flatiron was and I paid $13 for a full tank of gas.

5 Things on My To-Do List:
1. Get out and go for a walk with Chris tonight
2. Look for houses online
3. Locate passports for our trip to the Bahamas in June. (check)
4. Go to the grocery store (check again)
5. Work on lots of various design jobs... but that's on the list every day

5 Snacks I Enjoy
1. Today I made tomatoes and cucumbers in oil/vinegar which has proven to be yummy as usual-- Holla Lenz!
2. Yogurt/Cottage Cheese
3. Kettle Corn mini bags
4. GRAPE propel, a recent obsession.
5. Peanut butter on ANYTHING

5 Things I Would do if I were a Billionaire
1. Give most of it away so I wouldn't go nuts like those crazy lottery people on TV. (no offense if you've won the lottery)
2. Build our dream house... it wouldn't be big or anything just exactly what we want.
3. TRAVEL
4. Maybe then I'd get around to starting a store like I've always wanted to
5. ok I'd go shopping a little!

5 Bad Habits
1. Drinking too much soda (although I've only had 2 cokes since I found out I was pregnant!)
2. talking too much and not listening enough
3. I hate doing dishes and I let the sink pile up
4. Flossing, but I am trying
5. leaving the laundry in the washer too long so it's stinky and I have to re-wash it!! Wasteful I know.

the coolest

Jordan over at Oh Happy Day made these and I think they are the coolest. I'm going to make some for SURE as soon as she tells me where she got the cello wrap.

Another bit of coolness was Jamie Presley on Martha Stewart yesterday making these stamped grocery bags for Earth Day. I know we ALL probably stamped something or other with a vegetable in elementary school (maybe it was your fierce solar system t-shirt I don't know) but I still want to make some if I have time. I've been wanting to get some reusable bags but how much more fun to make my own?

This weekend my family was in town and I'll try to get some photos and such posted later.

Clearing Things Up

No, you're not crazy and no, I haven't posted anything about it until now. I just wanted to create a little internet mayhem and confusion.

It's TRUE though, Chris and I are expecting a baby November 16! We couldn't be more excited and although we aren't quite sure how to embark on this daunting journey we're trusting that the Lord will lead us like He always has before. Yes, the baby was 100% planned. I'm 9.5 weeks along and feeling great so far. I've only had 2 little barely-there episodes of morning sickness and therefore, have NO room to complain!

We've heard the heartbeat, which the sonographer said was slow, and thus, a boy according to wives tales. We'll see how things progress but we would appreciate your prayers immensely for a safe pregnancy and healthy baby! Also, I'm very open to any tips you professional moms have to give. Thanks for sharing in our joy. We absolutely can't wait!!!

My Spring Wardrobe

If I could only shop one place for the rest of my life I think it would be here.

Course, when my belly gets big in the next couple of months, that might not be entirely possible...

I've been following this family's story for months now and I've gotten so swept up in it that I can't even remember where I originally learned of them.
